Alex Rivest is a documentary filmmaker. He has a PhD in Neuroscience from MIT and studied the brain circuits underlying episodic memory formation. He co-founded the non-profit Blue Kitabu, an organization designed to empower local community leaders to build sustainable schools in Ghana and Kenya and ran the Blue Kitabu Research Institute, which supervises primary research in the communities Blue Kitabu worked in. With his photography, he hopes to inspire kids to explore and to always ask questions about the world around them.
